Message	It seems reasonable that it would smooth the airflow under the car (helping aero) and maybe create a lower pressure region behind/under the engine (helping cooling by drawing air out of the radiator, through the engine bay). You will note that Kuah went to the trouble of constructing an underbody tray. Seems to me that the splash shield would offer similar (although less drastic) benefits vs no splash shield.
